We have three striking cottages set in a large private courtyard – fabulous accommodation for an extended family or group of friends to have a get together to remember. The cottages are imaginatively converted and have beautiful views over the North Devon countryside. They are an ideal choice for families and friends who want to enjoy the countryside with peace and quiet and privacy. There is a large play barn which is a wonderful resource for both children and adults.
The cottages are really popular for family groups as they enable each family to have their own space whilst enjoying being all together at the same time.

Downstairs in Horseshoe Barn there is a king size bedroom with an adjoining shower room which has facilities for people with limited mobility. Upstairs there is a double bedroom and 2 further bedrooms with twin 3’ beds.
Downstairs in Corn House there is a good sized single bedroom and upstairs you will find two further bedrooms, one double bedroom and a bedroom with a single bed. There is a trundle bed in first floor single bedroom which can sleep an additional guest if requested at the time of booking
In Bowood Cottage, all three bedrooms are on the first floor including a super king size bedroom with linked beds that can be used as two singles if required, a bedroom with twin 3′ single beds and a single bedroom with trundle bed under.
All bedding for the double and king size beds have king size duvets. Many of the bedrooms are large enough for a travel cot (provided on request).
Kitchen & Dining
The three large family size kitchens are fitted with everything you need for a relaxed self-catering holiday including electric ovens, microwaves, dishwashers, toasters, kettles, and full-sized fridge / freezers. In Horseshoe Barn, the kitchen has double doors which open out on to the large sitting room to make a very large through room.
Living Room
There are sitting rooms in each cottage with plenty of sofas to give flexibility of relaxation for an extended group. In Horseshoe Barn there is also a separate utility room with a washing machine and condenser/ dryer and is a useful extra storage area.
Bathrooms
There are upstairs bathrooms in each cottage, two with walk-in showers and the third with an electric shower over the bath. Downstairs in Horseshoe Barn there is a fourth bathroom with an electric shower.

WiFi is available throughout the cottages with a speed of 50Mbps in most areas.
Dishwasher
Each cottage is equipped with a full-sized dishwasher.

Each cottage is equipped with a full-sized washing machine.
Free Parking
The large courtyard has ample parking space for cars and is totally private and safe area for guests of Bowood Farm Cottages. It is accessed down a small lane and benches around the edge of the courtyard provide a real suntrap for enjoying a morning coffee.
Bedroom Comforts
The beds in all the bedrooms have quality sprung mattresses with all bedding provided together with a bath towel and hand towel for each guest.
Play Barn
We have the wonderful added facility of a large Play Barn available for the communal use of all our guests staying at Bowood Farm Cottages. In the barn there is badminton, table tennis, pool tables, air hockey, children’s games and play equipment and also beach equipment for guests to borrow, as well as numerous sofas to sit on. The barn is open from 10am to 8pm.
Checkin & Checkout
Check-in is from 4pm and a key safe is provided for each cottage.
Check-out is by 10am.
Cancellation Policy
Full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking, if the check-in date is at least 14 days away. 50% refund for cancellations made at least 7 days before check-in. No refunds for cancellations made within 7 days of check-in.
House Rules
No stag or hen parties allowed.
One dog in Horseshoe Barn and Corn House is allowed at our discretion, please contact Ann before booking. Our policy regarding dogs is that we ask an extra fee of £40 per dog payable with the booking. We ask that it is kept from going upstairs (stair gates provided if requested) and that it is kept on a lead while outside on the property and in the play barn. Please note that dogs must not be left unattended in the Cottage at any time. We ask that all dog litter is disposed of in the bin provided.
