Welcome to Bowood Farm Cottages – a group of three lovely characterful cottages in the beautiful North Devon countryside but still close-by to the beaches. We are tucked away just off the A39, so easy to get to, but remarkably quiet and peaceful and at night unpolluted dark skies with wonderful views  of the stars!

The cottages were tastefully converted from the original farm buildings 25 years ago. The cottages all have their own kitchen, dining and sitting room, and the south-facing courtyard makes for a lovely sunny gathering place. The cottages border a large private courtyard with plenty of safe parking and sitting areas. At the back, each cottage has its own small enclosed garden with rotary dryer, patio furniture and a BBQ and with wonderful views right across to Exmoor.

The Linked Cottages comprise Horseshoe Barn and Corn House which have double sound proof inter-connecting doors. These cottages are perfect for accommodating larger family gatherings, the 2 properties combined comfortably sleep up to 13 guests in 7 bedrooms, with 3 bathrooms. There is also the 3rd cottage which sleeps 6 guests and an additional self -contained annexe sleeping 2 if you are looking for somewhere to celebrate a special occasion (maximum guests 21).

We have three striking cottages set in a large private courtyard - fabulous accommodation for an extended family or group of friends to have a get together to remember. The cottages are imaginatively converted and have beautiful views over the North Devon countryside. They are an ideal choice for families and friends who want to enjoy the countryside with peace and quiet and privacy. There is a large play barn which is a wonderful resource for both children and adults.

Hiking

Bowood Farm is right around the corner from the beautiful Tarka Trail and entrances onto the South West Coastal Path that stretches an enormous 630 miles from Minehead in Somerset, along the coasts of Devon and Cornwall, to Poole Harbour in Dorset. You might even meet Tarka the Otter along your journey by the river!

Surfing

Just a 10 minute drive from Westward Ho! and the famous Pebble Ridge and just 30 mins from world famous Croyde beach you are in the perfect spot to catch some waves.

Cycling

There are plenty of beautiful and scenic coastal trails and cycling paths just down the road from us including the famous Tarka Trail.

Beach Time

Do you prefer sand beaches for sandcastles and games or pebble beaches for a good sitting spot? At Westward Ho! you don’t have to choose! A stunning white beach with the pebble ridge behind you and the sea view ahead – paradise!

Adventure Parks

With The Big Sheep just a 2 minute drive or 15 minute walk away and The Milky Way Adventure Park just a short 10 minute drive, those are two of many adventure parks and fun activities to explore in the area!

Rainy Days

There is ton to do winter and summer in North Devon. If adventure parks or pub crawls and great food aren’t your thing, how about a relaxing day in and taking advantage of our Activities Barn.

Water Sports

Whether you love paddle boarding, surfing, wind surfing, or even wake boarding, these are just a few of the water sports you can enjoy locally with the local wake board park and inflatable assault course just 10 minutes away.

Who Are We?

Ann and Mark took over Bowood Farm on the 1st March 2018 and have been thoroughly enjoying updating the three holiday cottages. Their first season of holiday lettings started in June of 2018. They love welcoming guests from all over the country and strive to do all they can to make sure you will have a truly special holiday. If you are here to celebrate a special event, please let Ann know and she will be happy to help with any advance decoration!
